Solid hydrogen storage material - Metal hydride

At a certain temperature and hydrogen pressure, some alloys undergo an exothermic reaction to absorb hydrogen forming metal hydrides; while heating, an endothermic reaction happens releasing the absorbed hydrogen. Therefore hydrogen can be store in low pressure condition, more safety and more efficient, as after 6000 cycles of hydrogen charging and discharging, the hydrogen storage capacity remains above 90% of the initial capacity.
